On 20 June 2024, during the summer solstice celebrations, we hosted a magical Daalarna fashion show at Daalarna Garden, with nearly 1000 guests attending.

This year, we had an unusual and special Daalarna show because, this time, the concept was based on Midsummer Night. Midsummer’s Eve is believed to have special magical powers, the most mystical night of the summer. According to popular belief, on this day, anything can happen, wishes can come true, and magic can become reality.

An extra special feature of this year’s event was that Daalarna Garden in Szentendre opened its doors to the public for the first time, and we prepared a series of exciting activities to mark the occasion.

“Lake Balaton is a beloved holiday destination for many in Hungary,” says Anita Benes. “By capturing the REMEMBER collection here, we wanted to convey the idea that you don’t always need to travel far to find beauty or inspiration. Often, the true treasures lie in our own backyards, unnoticed. As a Hungarian designer, I’m proud to showcase one of our country’s uniquely inspiring landscapes to an international audience through these lookbook images.”

Mahdi Said Kafiya – Kafi, known by her stage name Rea Milla, has gotten married, and her story is particularly dear to Daalarna. Not only because she opened the Daalarna Fashion Show in 2019, but also because, knowing her story, it brings us immense joy to see her freely choose to say "I do" to the man she trusts and loves most. On her special day, Rea Milla – Kafi wore two unique Daalarna dresses, and she is sharing some details about their wedding on September 19 for the first time on Secret Stories. (The interview was conducted the day before the wedding with Kafi.)

We are excited to share a special inspirational photo shoot from the picturesque Daalarna Garden in Szentendre, captured by the internationally renowned Pinewood Weddings duo, Levente Kádár and Enikő Várai.
